I’m Julie, and I can’t wait to meet you! A little about myself… I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from Arizona State University, specializing in Advanced Direct Practice with Children, Youth, and Families. Over my many years in the field, I’ve provided evidence-based, trauma-informed therapy in outpatient, residential, intensive outpatient, and partial hospitalization settings. In fact, I was a founding member and primary therapist of Chicago's largest trauma partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. Through rich training and years of experience, I’ve developed a relatable, compassionate practice that helps youth and young adults make change without feeling “parented,” and parents feel empowered and supported. I support my clients in managing the impacts of trauma(s), anxiety, and mood disorders - and more importantly, we work together to help them reconnect to what is meaningful to them.

I specialize in:

Now to the fun stuff… Like many folks at Mind, I love dogs and am a dedicated dog owner. It’s true; my dog is a pampered pup! I’m also a Colorado native who loves all things outdoors. Did you know I hiked Mount Kilimanjaro? Being in nature (even just standing on your porch) is an important part of healing and wellness. Most of all, I love family time with my daughter and husband.
