Full-Time Child & Family Therapist (W2 Position)

1 Position Available - Fall 2026

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for a clinician with meaningful training and experience in one or more of the following contextual and behavioral therapies: Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Parent Management Training (PMT), and/or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Those with training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) or Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) are strongly urged to apply! Mind Chicago clinicians specialize in working with children ages 2-15 and their parents! We are looking for clinicians who are confident and experienced in working with parents and find young kids a joy!

  • Illinois-licensed LCPC, LCSW, PsyD, PhD preferred

  • Provisionally licensed clinicians (LSW, LCP) with at least one year of related post-graduate experience welcome to apply

  • At least 2 years of post-graduate therapy experience preferred

This is a full-time, W-2 position requiring in-person therapy sessions at our new North Shore location.

  • Caseload: Maintain a minimum of 17 billed clients per week, which requires clinicians to book 21+ clients per week. Most clinicians work about 34-36 hours per week (excluding breaks/meals) to fulfill the responsibilities that build and maintain a healthy caseload (e.g., consultations, parent calls, school calls, session prep, networking).

  • Schedule: Minimum 4 days per week at our new Northbrook location

  • Evening Availability: Must be available to book clients at least 4 evenings a week to accommodate evening client demand or 3 evenings and one weekend day. Clinicians who are PCIT-trained and/or see very young clients and parents during daytime hours may have a shifted schedule.

LET’S TALK COMPENSATION

  • Estimated annual pay ranges from $75,000 to $100,000, depending on experience and caseload.

  • $2500 sign-on bonus to support clinicians as they build their caseload.

  • Total compensation is much higher when our many benefits are included (e.g., phone and computer reimbursement, employer-sponsored health insurance, professional development benefits, matching IRA, etc.).

  • Additionally, clinicians may seek to increase their pay by facilitating groups, writing, speaking, or adding clients to their caseload.
